Meet our founder

Dan Velasquez is a systems-driven business operator and investor

I’ve worked inside high-growth companies.
I’ve watched them scale.
I’ve watched them break.

Daniel began his career at Gartner, working alongside technology, finance, strategy, and risk leaders across mid-size companies, enterprises, and government organizations. There, he saw how often strategy looked strong in the boardroom but quietly broke down in execution. Growth stalled not because of lack of demand, but because the systems underneath couldn’t support it.

Daniel once joined what looked like the perfect growth story — a booming solar company in a booming market. Revenue was rising. Demand was strong. But inside, there was chaos.

Processes weren’t standardized. Teams operated differently. Revenue slipped through the cracks and customers felt it.

Growth had outpaced structure.

Within a few years, the company collapsed — a common fate among high-growth firms that scale without systems. The business failed not because of a lack of opportunity, but because there was no operational backbone to support the expansion.

That experience left a mark.

Growth without structure is fragile.

Later, Daniel partnered with a real estate investor to acquire and operate a service-based franchise. The business performed well — but required constant oversight. If he wasn’t present, execution slipped.

He wasn’t a business owner.
He was self-employed.
He wasn’t building an asset.
He was maintaining a machine that depended on him.

After exiting the franchise — at five times the initial investment — Daniel shifted his focus toward learning how money works and how to build a business that would really help people. He knew that by helping business owners, he would create a greater impact. He earned his securities licenses and deepened his understanding of how capital, structure, and risk interact inside growing companies.

But the missing piece became clear when he worked alongside one of the fastest-growing property management company in the United States.

The difference wasn’t talent. It wasn’t demand. It wasn’t even industry.

It was structure.

Every stage of the customer journey — from sales to fulfillment — was mapped. Metrics were visible. Accountability was defined. Bottlenecks were identified early. Decisions were data-driven.

Growth didn’t feel chaotic. It felt engineered.

That clarity became the foundation of Align Results.

Today, Daniel works with trade and service business owners who are strong operators but feel the pressure of growth. Revenue may be solid, but execution feels inconsistent. Teams depend too heavily on the owner. Cash flow fluctuates more than it should. Decisions rely on instinct instead of visibility.

The problem is rarely effort. It’s rarely opportunity.

It’s almost always structure.

Align Results focuses on aligning systems, capital, and execution so businesses can operate predictably and scale intentionally. That means mapping the full customer journey, defining ownership across roles, making key metrics visible, and structuring capital decisions with discipline.

The goal is simple:
Build a business that can run and grow without constant owner intervention.

That may mean stepping away for a month without anxiety. It may mean increasing capacity to take on larger contracts. It may mean strengthening valuation through operational clarity.

The more a business depends on the owner to operate, the less valuable and scalable it becomes.

Daniel’s work is built around changing that reality — replacing reactive management with visible systems, intentional capital allocation, and disciplined execution.

Because growth is not the goal.

Sustainable, structured growth is.
